Once the source is readable, AI cross-checks: do your home, product and news pages tell the same story? 6. Honest boundaries

Is L1 the same as "good SEO technical work"?
There is overlap but they are not equal. SEO technical work cares about crawling and ranking; L1 additionally stresses "can the machine read your facts as structured source" — including Schema and llms.txt. Good L1 usually also helps SEO, but the wording of the goal differs.
My small team has no one for L3 recrawl. What then?
Start with low-frequency manual recrawl: ask AI the same set of questions monthly and record. As volume grows, fix the question set in a script and compare before/after. Build the mechanism first, then the frequency.
Once the three layers are done, is it finished?
No. AI answers drift and competitors update; the point of L3 is to keep content moving. Treat the three layers as a running system, not a launch endpoint — that fits the engineering nature of GEO better.
